We had a pleasant welcome on arrival. However, though we had booked our pitch well in advance, we were offered a choice of two rather nondescript emplacements on arrival.
The pitch we selected, because of its size (we have a large motorhome) was very shaded, and there was no view to the surrounding countryside. The nearby road was busy and noisy. The ground was freshly laid, and turned very muddy when it rained.
There was little provision for waste disposal. We were directed to use the disabled WC for brown waste, and a covered manhole which was at the side of the road for the grey waste.
The facilities were adequate, though unisex.
A small playground was available for children.
Free WiFi was on offer, but even outside the office the reception was appalling and I resorted to 3G.
The site is located about three kilometres from the nearest town, with little public transport. We resorted to hiring a car. The approach road was very dusty, though it succeeded in becoming a lake in parts after rain. Parts of the site seemed in the process of construction.
We had paid a deposit, but were asked for full payment in advance on arrival, which is unusual. To prevent escapes perhaps?
