 Brilliant wee spot just off the M6 making it really convenient
Could do with a little attention but everything you need is on site including EHU
Surprisingly quiet considering it is so close to the motorway
Doreen is a lovely lady
Will be back for sure if we are ever back in the area

Nice campsite, very well located not far off the M6.
Bit run down, the hard standing needs weeded and updating but very quiet,
Kestrels flying over hunting each evening. Lots of ducks, geese, moorhens etc.
Lovely walks from the campsite.

Easy to find from the M6 being only a mile or so from Jct 27. Ideal for a break in a long journey but it is not well maintained and overall scruffy.
The toilet/shower block is clean and looked after. The site generally is quite and friendly. Both grass and hard standing are available with ehu.
Taking everything into account, the nightly rate is very reasonable as it includes electric. Oh if you like watching ducks, they just wander around, giving something to look at.
The lilies on the pond were not out when I was there but they will look amazing when they are.
The pond is not fenced so a good eye on young children is needed, hence the lower mark here as it is close to the pitches

Clean, friendly and quiet.
Choice of grass or hard standing with all having power.
Toilets and power shower all worked well and were clean and tidy, albeit fairly basic.
Really enjoyed our stay.

What a great find Moss House Farm was! We were attending a wedding at the nearby hotel, and found this place as a stopover.
Lovely quiet site, basic amenities which were super clean and functional.
Really pretty pond and camping meadow, we were on the hardstanding area with electric which was level and spacious.
So easy to get to off the M6, we would definitely stop here again, to break up a trip to Scotland for example.
The White Lion was a 20 minute pleasant walk, lovely food. Great communications from Brenda and just a simple, straightforward site.
Nothing specific for kids, but lots of space. Welcomed dogs too.
Perfect for us!

This is a peaceful and simple campsite, surrounded by nature, by a pond with ducks and geese.
The amenities are basic, but clean. When I was there I hardly saw any other people, and the campsite owner was very helpful and unintrusive.
I felt very safe and contented here and would stay again if I happened to be in the area.

We stayed here in our campervan and had a really great experience. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and very helpful throughout our stay.
All the facilities (showers, toilets) were very clean and conveniently located in one place, which made everything super easy.
The price of £20 per night is absolutely worth it, especially with electric hook-up included. The site itself is quiet, well-maintained and has a relaxed atmosphere — perfect for a comfortable stopover or a longer stay.
We would definitely come back and can warmly recommend this campsite to anyone travelling in the area.

Excellent location just off the M6.
Whilst basic, it was as described with clean toilets and showers, water and chemical toilet disposal.
Very quiet and peaceful.
Good links into Wigan and Preston.
Would definitely stay again

Very pretty place, on site facilities available, toilets, shower. Grey water disposal and chemical toilets.
You can walk the dog across the fields, which is great.
The site has a lovely duck pond.
It's very good value for money.
