Just returned from a week in the lodge at this site. Equipped for 6, with 3 bedrooms, one en-suite, and family bathroom made for a very comfortable stay. We had a problem with the tv which was quickly resolved by the friendly and helpful owners. Next to the lodge is a very large field for the caravan site. As a caravanner of over twenty five years I feel qualified to comment on the site, even though we didn't stay there. Essentially a farm field it is sheltered and the grass is well managed. There is the usual water and CDP, and WC which is dated, but always clean. The site is the ultimate in peace and tranquillity, with a variety of wildlife to raise interest and is well located for many of the attractions and activities in the area. There is a choice of good pubs and eateries close by. Dogs are very welcome, (we took 3!) and there are several good walks within the farm boundaries. Access from the A40 is on a single track road for 2. 5 miles. Particularly for those who like to Google road view a preview of their route, there are many passing places, many conveniently constructed on the bends and the forward visibility/observation of approaching traffic is good.
