Excellent site and close to carbis beach and st Ives, charging points for phones etc and communal fridges/freezers we had absolutely no problem with using these at all, great service from Phil on site who was always happy to help 😀

Hot and clean showers too.

Washer on site but never used so canít recommend this.

Logs and fire pits can also be hired at a small cost, kids loved the horses in the next field too.

We walked to carbis bay in about 20 minutes and walked to st Ives Iím about 45/50 minutes.

We also drove to sennon beach and lands end which took about an hour in car.

Excellent stay will definitely return again.

We arrived and had to wait for the owner to come onto site - he arrived within 10 minutes showed us to put pitch and let us be.

Perfect location for walking into Carbis Bay where you can catch the train into St Ives or visit the beach.

Chip shop and tapas restaurant along with a Co-op within walking distance.

If you donít fancy the train get Ace taxis into St Ives £8 for 4 people.

Bargain campsite, good showers, communal fridge/freezers and a perfect location. We will be back!

Mount Douglas is a gorgeous campsite. Itís very basic in the way it hasnít got a lot to do on site, but that was the beauty for us. Shower cubicles were lovely and clean. As were the separate bathrooms. A place for you to charge phones alongside huge fridges to store your food and a large freezer as well.

You can rent a log/fire pit for £10 and Phil came round with extra logs during the week for you which was a lovely touch.

Carbis Bay Beach - which is absolutely STUNNING is only a 15/20 min walk away. Itís breathtaking.

St. Ives is a 10 min car ride away (if that even). Taxis will meet you at the campsite easy enough and take you in (as you canít park in St. Ives). To walk it would be a good 40 or so minutes Iíd say. And bare in mind itís pretty much up hill on your way home.

Sandy and Phil were lovely hosts.

The site is well kept and maintained.

Lots of social distance between tents / pitches. We spent a week between 25th-1st August. Would definitely recommend.

The only slight downside would be if you have small children there isnít anything on site for them to do. Other than entertain themselves - but sometimes thatís the beauty with camping life.

The site is run by Phil and Sandy, both friendly and helpful. The toilets and shower blocks were always clean and well maintained. There is a washer and dryer on site for a small charge 50p for the dryer and £3 for the washer.

There is a communal pot wash up area inside 2 sinks undercover and two outside, both with running hot and cold water. The location of the site is about a fifteen minute walk to the beautiful Carbis bay beach, there is a cost cutter about a 10 minute Walk away

We have used this campsite twice now and will be booking next year for a third time.

It's a relaxed atmosphere on the site.

One of the few short trips this year.

If you want a good, no frills, petty rule free campsite then this could be for you. OK it's fairly basic but if it luxury you want pay more, go somewhere else.

The two guys we met couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We even had a fire pit for one night. Fire pit £1. Bag of logs with kindling and fire lighters £5. With a 5 year old and a 2 year old all we needed was some marshmallows and a few twigs. Heaven!

The walk to the fabulous Carbis Bay was pleasant, fairly long and in places rather steep but in our case grandad ran a taxi service.

Absolutely loved our week in Carbis bay, Phil and Sandy looked after us from start to finish,

Toilets/showers and reception are a great new upgrade.

Everyone respected the covid 19 controls in place and cleaning was regular.

Thanks for a great week

From the first email Phil was amazing,

The site is very spacious with everything you need, showers, toilets, washing machine, dryer,

Phil and Sandy are very laid back and make excellent hosts

We will be back 100%

5 mins from carbis bay beach

10 mins into St Ives

There is nothing to not like about this site,

The toilets are clean, the water is hot,

All the people on site are happy

No shop

No strict rules yet everyone is quiet and respectful

The kids are kids again playing football and cricket
