 Just came on for a moan about the price really.
Not the first time I’ve been here and heading back to the tunnel with my grandson so thought I’d show him the lake etc. I was surprised at how much the prices have gone up!
Last week in August, 3 nights, one shared pitch for small caravan for me and a wee tent for my grandson, a small dog and electricity = 99. 76€! Not even wi-fi except at reception! No wonder the site was empty!
The previous site we were at on the banks of the Dordogne, for the same facilities and 7 nights was 98. 10€.
It was clean but that’s not surprising as it was empty!
I’d emailed to book but when we arrived at 1800 there was no one at reception. Notice on door said you had to phone then told to go to a kiosk at the lake now to let them know you’re there.
There was no record of my email even though I had received a reply. As I’m disabled, my grandson went to register and then had to come back to the car which was blocking the gate (which didn’t actually matter as no one needed in) as you had to pay before they give you the gate code. After a long drive it was just all a bit of a disappointment!
Had decided we’d go for a meal on arrival but no restaurants in the village seemed to be open after 19:30. Even the Super you closed at 19:30! I won’t be back!

This is a great site for touring the area. The site itself is very clean and also quiet, which suits me perfectly. Plenty of hot water. Wifi is available free at reception. There is a lake opposite which is approximately 3 miles round that my Spaniel loved. There is also a nice wee beach area on the lake for children and adults to enjoy safe swimming. Very well priced at 65€ for 5 days, including electricity.

Stayed for two nights at the beginning of our holiday. Nice campsite, very quiet. Toilet/shower block was lovely, clean, warm and spacious. Couple running the camp were friendly and did their best in English to explain things. We pretty much catered for ourselves so was in no need of shops or bars. It was a good stop over site.

We stumbled upon this campsite on our way to Blois. It's pretty basic but it's big, you can camp where you like with space, it wasn't busy, it has a great location and it's cheap. There's a large toilet and shower block which could be modernised. There's a thick dusting of cobwebs and small spiders on the entrance to the shower blocks, but it didn't bother me so much and I'm petrified of spiders.
The site had a child's play area and across the road, there's a lake with a man made beach which is lovely! The town is a short walk away with cafes etc and the locals are friendly.
The site was friendly, felt safe and was quiet. The toilets are a bit of a let down but we had a great time staying on this site and the price was brilliant! I would definitely recommend this site as a stop off enroute!
