Stayed here for one night on a walking tour of the Borders. Site is basic, water is available but we did not find any toilet facilities, so you need to have your own. Owner is a very nice man, and was very welcoming. The site seems to be a bit of the old road, which has been bypassed by the new. Whilst still close to the A7, you are long way below it, and the noise did not bother us.
There is a bit of a wood, and some chickens knocking about, the owner sells the eggs. There are also two grass sites. It's nice and flat, and compared to other campsites in the area, very inexpensive. However, it is probably not suitable for a long term stay, unless you have all your own facilities.
