As at 11/1/23 visit found now closed to Tourers. Sadly we did not stay for one night as this Site has removed the 20 Touring pitches in favour of Statics. Misleading listings elsewhere including there own website.
Usual answerphone and email no replies.
Not an easy route on the back road to nearby Etangs Marsalin near Dreux. We stopped there again.
A return overnight visit a year later, again travelling north. Phoned ahead as normal.
All fine, pleasant enough welcome, no issues for us. Toilet & showers all fine, clean and heated. Lots of the very high trees have been coppiced down so site is more open and much lighter (March). A few usual French site quirkiness.
Very acceptable for an overnight or longer & a very peaceful sleep.
Chosen again in preference to the Chartres Municipal which we find just awful.

Minor delay at site gate rousing staff working on site. Good access adjoins quiet road and whilst a little off main route only minor back roads to re-join. Site is isolated & peaceful within pine wood so best use supermarket for food and fuel prior or after stop.
Terrible cold in France, March 18, with 'beast from the east' so not surprised that the site & ground was frozen solid throughout. Toilet block open, running water and clean. Used water from within Toilets for unit water. A few other overnighters also.
Used this site as a stop-over travelling North, not wanting to stop at Chartres. We arrived late to find the barrier closed at 6pm; but were allowed in after a short conversation on the intercom. The lady manager was friendly, and gave good instructions for finding the pitch.
The site, as John+judy say, is mostly statics; more a Park Home setup than a campsite, set in open woodland. The manager said there were many people there over the winter period. The layout is a series of seven 'hameaux', each a circular road with pitches either side, and a small toilet block in the centre of the circle. Each hamlet is surrounded by a tall hedge, with a classical statue by the entrance, marked with its number. Dr. Who fans might be easily spooked!
It runs the ACSI scheme at €19pn, and open nearly all the year; there is a pool, but no restaurant. It is in deep Normandy, on narrow lanes, about 10 miles off the N154.
The site is mainly occupied by static 'mobile' homes, and tourers benefit from this because the touring pitches use vacant plots. This means they are very large and have full hook up. It was very quiet when were there, but there is a pool and kids play area including bouncy castle should you want them. Toilet and shower facilities were adequate but a bit basic - we tended to use the toilet in the reception building because it had a seat and paper!
We used this sites as a base for visiting the Monet gardens at Giverny and Versailles - both easy journeys. The Monet gardens and the village are very pretty, but even in low-ish season were very crowded, mostly by coach parties of visitors from the Far East. Visiting Versailles is two separate experiences - the wonderful gardens (including Marie Antoinette's 'hameau', and the palace. We thought we might avoid the crowds by leaving the palace visit till late afternoon, but it was still packed. Parking is expensive - 23 Euros for the full day, and the queue to get through security took 45 minutes.
