The most basic and interesting campsite we have used to date! As the name suggests it is both a working farm and bison centre. We had top quality burgers and sausages bought from the farm shop and great fun exploring the farm and woodland walk.

The views are beautiful, fire pits and bbqs encouraged. But no hook ups and facilities are very very basic and if you're on the campervan field its a trek through the farm yard to the woods to use the loo.

If you're looking to get close to nature and don't mind a bit of mud then visit this site!

Just returned from a lovely 2 night stay at Bush Farm. We stayed in the camping pod, which was basic but clean, with a futon double bed, tv (no reception, bring DVDs) and a fan heater. Had a walk through the campsite and each pitch is separately numbered in the woodland, each with own fire pit. Two washing up sinks (with hot water on tap), and ladies/gents shower/toilets. Expensive showers @ 2 to unlock the door, but plenty of hot water. It's a woodland site, can be a bit muddy especially on a showery bank holiday weekend, so take flip flops for showers, wellies for site and just enjoy the surroundings! Would recommend the farm trail (half price for campers), to see the bison, rhea, elk, pigs and a baby donkey.

Would recommend the Fox and Hounds (East Knoyle) and the Bennett Arms (Semley), both nice pubs with good beer and food

On arrival in a chilly April we were shown to a large, unkempt - but flat - pitch in woodland, with a fire pit and a wooden picnic bench and table. There was a lovely track running through the woods, with pretty paths snaking off it - great for kids to explore. The pitches were well spaced out and it felt quite private. The loo/shower blocks were a bit primitive: for 2, which opens the shower door, you get limitless hot water but the blocks are unheated and the door to the ladies' block didn't close. The gents' block has no door at all so it was pretty chilly in there, and the areas weren't cleaned as often as we'd have liked (there was no mop). The C&CC field, which has no fire pits, was lovely, with great views across the valley to the bison field beyond. There is a camping pod for hire there, with a heater and TV, but there is no other electric hookup. Wonderful walks from the campsite to pretty Mere in the west, with a selection of good pubs, and The Green, in the east, which has a lovely pub but it was closed when we got there! I can thoroughly recommend bison steaks, bought from the farm shop, eaten on a picnic bench beside a roaring camp fire. Bliss.
