Just spent a week here and really like the site, it is quite busy, all French apart from one other English couple. The owner tells me it will quieten down after tomorrow. No Dutch or Germans, which I thought unusual.
Most pitches are very large, ours 200sq m, with some shade. ( been 32 deg at least all week)
A lovely family who owns the site, very friendly, helpful and always find time for a chat.
Swimming pools looked lovely, although we didn't use them.
Caught some decent carp 6 to 10lb, fishing here very popular with families.
In July/ August theme nights. Moules frites, Bingo, dancing etc
The pot bellied pigs had some 2week old piglets which were amusing to watch.
Wifi 10 euros for the week, because the site was busy it was sometimes slow, however we managed toFacetime and I watched Boro v Sunderland on my tablet.
Only about 20 min drive to the coast.
Water pressure the best I have ever seen, filled aquaroll in 30 seconds!
If we are in this area again we will definitely use this site.
We had a great week in May 2013 camping at La Domaine de Bellevue. The site is outside St Christophe du Ligneron and you do need a car. However, the toilets, showers & washing facilities were all new & spotless. There were laundry facilities too. The pitches were very flat with hedges round.
The swimming pool was covered & heated, with showers & loos too. Again, all new & very clean. The children's play area was well stocked with properly maintained equipment.
There was a fishing pool that was properly fenced off and a small shop on site where we ordered baguettes, croissants etc.
A VERY quiet site with lots of privately owned statics. A friendly atmosphere with everyone bonjouring as they passed by our tent.
The owners are very pleasant, can't do enough to help & were good with the kids.
