 I enjoyed a lovely stay at Oakley farm, that I easily accessed from the A34.
The site has a relaxed peaceful feel to it.
There is plenty of space and the showers and toilets although not boutique style are very clean and well maintained.
Chatting to the friendly gentleman owner was a delight.
This site provides very good value for money.

What a lovely peaceful, well tended site! And especially as it DOESN'T permit dogs - ah the peace & quiet!
All facilities very clean and well tended, though a little old. Hard standing pitches on a slight slope, plus limited grass pitches but no real problem.
Access is tight but not a problem.
Lovely site, strongly recommended.

Good clean campsite with good toilet block.
Quiet and out of the way.
Recycling bins available and books to borrow from reception.
Can put ice packs in reception freezer, only opens around 12 pm to collect them

Toilets and wash facilities were a little dated but perfectly functional.
Overall very good value for money for a site with electric hookup.
The guy who checked us in was a definite character and made us laugh which is what we needed after a long drive
Also prices are clearly shown on their website, I wish all sites did that

We stayed at Oakley Farm for 3 nights on a hardstanding pitch. The site is a nice small site and as others have already mentioned, the toilet block is kept very clean, even though it is extremely dated (remember the old fashioned peach coloured toilets and sinks that were popular in the 1970s and 80s).
There are three toilets and two showers in the ladies and I assume the men’s is the same, which was plenty for the small site, however, the water pressure in the showers was poor.
The site is very easy to get to, just a minute or two off the A34, so it is a great location for a stopover if you are on your way from north to south (or vice versa).
We chose the site as we wanted to visit Highclere castle (aka Downton Abbey) and the site is very handy for visiting the castle.
However, the proximity to the A34 also means that there is quite a bit of road noise on the site. I know this doesn’t bother many people but my husband has a hearing problem and certain noises really seem to bother him, so we probably won’t use this site again for that reason.
The site was really attractively priced, only £21 a night including electricity when we were there, which is less than half the price we have been paying this summer on other sites, so if you don’t mind the road noise and low water pressure in the showers, this is a great site.

Lovely campsite, very nice atmosphere.
Basic facilities but that is all we wanted and needed.
Showers clean,
Grounds well kept.
Definitely be back again this summer

Stayed here for 3 nights over the bank holiday weekend as we were attending the Highclere show.
Lovely warm welcome on arrival. Fantastic pitches.
All three together on a field with lovely views… good facilities, great location and a great price!
Will definitely return again.
