Just had a really great 3 night stay.
Top campsite, with some real quirky touches.
Our kind of site, quiet, relaxing but close enough to walk to the pub or to public transport for a day out in Scarborough.
The owners are so welcoming and genuinely nice people.

We have just spent 6 nights at The Pheasantry and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The site is small and made up of a good sized level pitches.
The owners Paula and Dave are very helpful and friendly, and make you feel so welcome with an added bonus of free eggs if required.
Very handy for visiting Pickering, Whitby and Scarborough.
If you are looking for peace and quiet, fabulous sunsets, in a rural setting this is the place to camp.

Little gem of a site. Nice and quiet.
Toilets and shower very basic, but nice and clean.
Lovely welcome from Paula and Dave the owners.
We had EHU had no issues at all. Nice relaxing stay.

Loved the campsite and it's location.
The owners couldn't have been more helpful, they even did an Easter egg hunt for the smaller children. Nothing was too much trouble.
We would definitely go back.
The showers aren't luxurious but they do the job and where clean.
There's so many places to visit around and about.

This place is a gem of a find, the site is small and made up of a good sized level pitches some with EHU and a large area for free campers.
The new addition of the fire pit area under the parachute makes for a place to socialise with fellow campers but far enough away not to disturb anyone.
The owners Paula and Dave are super helpful and friendly, and make you feel so welcome.
If you are looking for peace and quiet, fabulous sunsets, in a rural setting this is the place to camp.
I would definitely not hesitate to stay here again, the site works well for both adults and children, absolutely loved it….

Had a great weekend at the pheasantry
The owners were very good, they went out of their way to come over to make us feel welcome and have a chat.
The site is so peaceful and just a 20 min walk down hill to stainton where we got a good pub meal.
There are some good walks near the site also.

My boyfriend and I camped here for 3 lovely nights, arriving Saturday lunch time and leaving on Tuesday lunch time. The Pheasantry was very easy to find given the directions on the website and upon arriving we were welcomed very warmly by the owner (and the dogs!). Facilities include a static caravan which has a toilet and shower, bedrooms which we used to get ready in and a very useful kitchen in case the weather doesn't allow you to use your camping cooker outside. Thankfully the weather was wonderful but we did use the fridge to keep the beers cold! The campsite itself doesn't have a lot of pitches and this is one of the things which attracted us to the site, it's spacious and very clean and well maintained. There are hook-ups but we opted not to have one. The surroundings are beautiful, with countryside views in every direction. We took advantage of one of the maps available for local walks which range from 2-5 miles, there is also information on local attractions in the static caravan. A shop and pub are within half a mile and make a lovely walk down a track. The Pheasantry is also great for animal lovers like ourselves! There are horses, chickens and dogs on site, and we were even invited into their home to meet the gorgeous 3 week old puppies. The owners are such a lovely couple, we were brought fresh eggs from their chickens one morning, they kindly allowed us to use their bbq and were always friendly and chatty! All in all we will definitely be going back to this little gem of a campsite.
