 I am writing this review because of a brand new shower block mentioned in a previous review, if there is one we never found it. We found the garden shed with one toilet, with only cold water and a separate shower with plenty of free hot water. Both of which were clean but not heated which didn't matter for us as on the whole we had good weather.
It is really difficult to know what pitches are part of the site as it seems it was one bigger site that has been split into two. We booked a hardstanding pitch and that was quite large with EHU. Because the ground was firm we used a large grass pitch again with EHU.
The pitch fee was £22 per night.
There is chemical waste disposal and water available.
What makes the site is the close proximity to the river and wonderful safe cycle route. Also a regular bus route to Lincoln.
We did not go to the pub.
To sum it up, we enjoyed our stay and Roy and Elaine, who were assisting whilst Les and Barbara were away, were very helpful and friendly however it was all a bit confusing and we certainly didn't find what we expected from the recent reviews.
I am writing this not to be negative but to hopefully help people to have a more accurate expectation of the site.

Excellent campsite with flat well maintained pitches.
New shower block and toilet.
Very friendly and helpful hosts.
Lovely views. Close to river and cycle track.
Bus stop into Lincoln outside the campsite.
Competitively priced.
Alpacas and horses at the bottom of the site. Lovely weekend stay

Stayed here on many occasions. As always Les and Barbara meet you on arrival and show you to your pitch and any new facilities that have been added. Site is immaculate and well laid out.
Excellent cycle routes close by and a bus service every 30 mins to Lincoln just outside the campsite.
We definitely will return as this is one of our favourite CLs run by fantastic hosts.

“A little gem”…well I suppose being named Diamond House it is the perfect choice for such a wonderfully relaxed and quiet retreat.
Les and Barbara are fantastic hosts, seasoned Motorhomers and travellers who now concentrate their efforts on making your stay enjoyable and memorable.
The site has wonderful views over the canal, surrounding fields and paddocks and you can easily ride a bike / e-bike the five miles to Lincoln along the flat canal tow path in twenty to thirty minutes, there is also a bus stop right outside the gate which takes you straight in to Lincoln town centre if you prefer.
On site you have electric hook up, water and waste disposal. This has to be the best independent site you could stay at for a short break / long weekend and all within a stones throw of the beautiful city of Lincoln.
Book early as it seems to be busy most of the year. Thanks again and we will most definitely be visiting again soon.

We booked this as a small members only cl site as we had an appointment in Lincoln on Sunday. This isn't a cl. Site any more and the owner has sold half of the site to a glamping business. We ended up parking on a piece of concrete waste ground in front of an old shed for £15 per night.
The paddock field was difficult access for us and muddy with long grass. The 1 shower and wc, without hot water, was muddy to get to and very messy. When we arrived the owner was out, so we walked our dogs in a mowed field next to the site, only to be met by the glamping business owner shout at us that this land did not belong to Diamond house any more. We apologised and asked where the cl field was and he said its gone.
I think the site needs great improvement or needs to close. Not an enjoyable stay even to the point I didn't want to stay.
However, the local pub was very nice and dog friendly in the bar area and we were made very welcome. Sorry I don't think we will be returning soon.
Thankfully we didn't need 50p for showers but they are very rustic and cold.
The boundaries for Diamond house and Rural retreats needs more definition for campers who have never visited before!

This is such a fantastic site, the owners, Les and Barbara are the nicest people.
It’s a small friendly, down to earth site that has every amenity you need and all at a really down to earth price which is important these days.
As for location to the City of Lincoln you cannot beat it If you have a bike, we have two folding electric bikes and they are perfect.
Running just behind the site there is a canal tow path, approximately 5 miles in to Lincoln but it is perfectly flat.
You could walk in if you have the time or use the bus which stops close to the entrance.
We cannot fault this site if you want a peaceful location, access to the lovely City of Lincoln and the site hosts are amazing.

The campsite was excellent, alterations were in progress but this did not not hinder our lovely pitch.
Everything was done to assist in getting around the work being carried out.
The owners were so helpful.

I travelled from Scotland alone, primarily to visit sick friends in the Lincoln area, having chosen this site because of the reviews.
Lovely, friendly couple greeted me with a very warm welcome, showing me where to park etc.
My stay for 5 nights here was most enjoyable.
My main reason for wishing to show my appreciation is because of the great kindness I received when I managed to lock myself out of my Moho !
Les and Barbara came to my rescue and went above and beyond what I could ever have hoped for to help me out of my predicament on a Saturday afternoon.
I am so very grateful for their help, thank you both.
No wonder the reviews are excellent.
No hesitation in recommending this site, and I’ll be sure to stay here on my next trip to Lincoln.

Excellent site with a good mix of grass and hardstanding all with EHU. Has 3 'sites' - CAMHC, a CL site and general - takes about 12 in total.
Clean toilets and showers, site immaculate and well-laid out.
In the middle of nowhere, but we like that! Roads rural and very narrow at times.
