What a lovely site. No electric hookups, toilet, showers, playground, or hard standing pitches. They do have drinking water, waste dump and rubbish bins. So, be prepared to be self sufficient but goodness, it's worth it.
It's a simple grass field next to the coast, with views down to Banff. There is a road/walkway between the site and the coast and it was constantly in use by cyclists, walkers, dogs. However, instead of feeling busy, it just felt 'right'. Our dog loved walking down to the beaches and there were always lots of other dogs to play with.
The village of Whitehills is a lovely place. There are a few restaurants, including an excellent fish and chips shop. The pub garden is dog friendly.
What a super site, we stayed here for 1 night on a tour around this coastline, its a grass site for 5 vans, the ground is slightly sloping but no prob with levellers. There is no showers or toilets, but their is water and grey/toilet waste emptying point. Its right on the sea front, we would have stopped here longer just to chill out but time was against us, very nice gent who runs it lives in the cottage next to site, only £6 a night. Its a 10 out 10 from us, just a pity its so far away for us or we would be regulars.
