 This is a big site with sandy pitches under pine trees. It is a lovely setting, well off the road, among scrubland and smallholdings. The tracks around the site are bumpy in places and watch out for overhanging branches. In December the shop, bar and cafe were closed although wi fi was available on the cafe terrace (in the open). The washroom blocks are very run down with cold water to basins but torrential hot showers. The staff valiantly tried to keep them looking and smelling nice but they really need replacing.
Despite the downside this is a great location for visiting Cap St Vicente and Sagres (don't miss the stunning walk round Sagress headland, entry through the fort). We walked the dog on the site as it would have been quite a trek down to a beach.
