 Visited this lovely, beautiful adult only site at the weekend in my little T2 camper and wow. What a site.
Lovely warm welcome from Chris as well as some of the other campers who stay on the site regularly.
Very clean showers and toilets (a must for me). Local pub 10 mins walk ( very friendly) bus outside of pub to go to either Shrewsbury or Oswestry so lots to offer.
We will definitely be back soon

A very quiet and beautiful adults-only site (except for the yapping dog belonging to one of the seasonal campers!) divided into 2 sections, each with only 1 way of entry & egress.
Entry to site via a keypad to open the gate – rang up 3 days before to be given the code.
We had paid the 50% deposit by bank transfer when we booked – an unexpectedly high deposit, we felt); the balance was actually due on our arrival, either by cash or bank transfer, but we paid 3 days early by bank transfer, which was just as well, because the WiFi signal was poor and unpredictable. When my husband tried to access our online banking for another issue, the website repeatedly timed him out before he was able to complete the security protocols.
Most of the pitches are seasonal, with just 2 in our section reserved for tourers. Until the first weekend we were there, there were hardly any other caravanners.
We saw the friendly owner Chris and his wife around the site on our first couple of days and once or twice in the second week (Chris only), but for the most part they left everyone to their own devices. There was no designated Reception as on other sites.
The toilet block consisted of 1 central door (with a notice requesting the door be kept shut – yet on numerous occasions I found it left open!) and then separate doors for ladies, gents & a disabled toilet (for which you would need a key). On the wall was a map of the area.
The ladies’ had 2 sinks, (mirror above sinks & another long one on the wall near the door). 2 toilets & 2 shower cubicles, for which inside the door had a meter, £1. 00 for 5 mins. Accepts only £1 coins & the meter starts as soon as money inserted; it beeps when you have 1 minute left, and again, when the time is up.
Chris actually gave us a £10 credit because we had booked a fortnight, so refunded us £1 x 10 coins. There were 2 sets of hooks on the wall, a pull-down stool & a duck board. There was a folding door to the actual shower tray & a grab rail. The shower spray was very powerful, and the water came warm but not too hot.
The hand dryer was quite ineffectual, and the paper towel dispenser was permanently empty, so some campers appeared to use some toilet tissue to dry their hands, hence a few little bits on the floor!
In other regards the toilet block was very clean. There was a small rack of tourist leaflets but a very limited selection. Also, a rack of magazines, some DVDs and a few books; by the end of our stay, I noticed the number of books had more than doubled! I had read 3 if them and added 2 more myself that I had also read.
Apparently, the facilities in the gents were the same (plus 2 urinals. My husband added 2 or 3 books to that shelf, but remarked that it’s obviously the ladies who are the bigger readers, as the men’s shelf remained unchanged apart from the books he added. He also commented that the mirror on the wall in the gents (other than the shaving mirror) was positioned too high for those men who are vertically challenged – he could only see the top of his head!
There is a washing up sink at the end of the toilet block outside, partially covered. A small draining rack present. Behind the sink is the area where there are several bins for general waste and recycling.
Outside the opposite end of the toilet block are the disposal points for waste water and toilet cassettes. There is very little lighting on the site, so once it gets dark, it’s very dark! A help in sleeping! Ther are no laundry facilities, but there is a laundrette in Shrewsbury (not far from Tesco), which we used.
There is some traffic noise from the B4397 but it’s not too bad. The junction with the A5 really could do with traffic lights. The A5 is a very busy, fast road & it seems to take forever to turn onto it!
We travelled to Shrewsbury to shop, where there is a big Tescos, but there are other supermarkets too. We visited the Spar in Baschurch once, but the use-by date on the milk was the next day.

Wow - what a find ! Excellent site. Beautiful area, lovely view of fields from our pitch (C)
Nice friendly caravan owners who stayed there on a seasonal pitch.
Lovely owner who came round for a chat.
Immaculate shower and toilet area, washing up area available too.
Beautiful gardens - very well kept, coded access gates.
Loved it, we will be returning

We have stayed at barncroft caravan site for the past 9 years and we have been very welcomed by the owners Chris and rosanna.
It's a very secure site with a locked gate that you need a pin number to get in with. The toilet block is very clean and modern.
Oswestry and shrewsbury are a short distance from the site with large supermarket in Baschurch that is about 2 miles away is a spar supermarket and a very nice Indian restaurant and takeaway in Ruyton 11towns on a Saturday you have a wood fired pizza horse box.
I highly recommend this site

Let me start off by saying this is a nice laid out site, and the toilet and and showers are very nice.
Gated for security as well. BUT we were charged for our dogs who had no dog walk on or off site without going in the car and I can’t see how this is justified.
It also states it is a ADULT ONLY site which we like to book, but a party went on at one van on the Sunday where kids were allowed to attend not fair on other caravaners who want peace and quiet.

This Adult only caravan park is owned and very efficiently run by the owners Chris and Rosanna. My wife and I have spent two wonderful seasons there but regretfully, I had to leave in April due to health issues.
The description of this site is very accurate. Although a bit secluded there is a farm shop a couple of miles down the road in Baschurch, together with a lovely Chippy and a very handy spar shop. Shrewsbury is approx 20 minutes away.
The road along side the caravan park can be a bit noisy at times but you soon get used to it.
However, that aside, the Seasonal rent is very attractive. You may well be surprised.
I would certainly recommend this caravan park and suggest you arrange a visit to see for yourself.

Booked three pitches for us and family, Mr Eccleston was very helpful.
Nice quiet site, not a lot about but perfect for what we went for.
Although walking from the site down the road to the village was a little scary until we got to pavement. Saying that there wasn’t much noise from the road at night.

Lovely small site adorned with beautiful flower beds, and great plants for sale. Showers and toilets were impeccable, with a system in place to ensure only two people at a time could enter. Showers cost £1 for five minutes.
The cost of the pitch was £22 per night so it was a bit disappointing to pay extra for the shower, but the facilities were modern and very well kept.
Its a great location for touring Shropshire, located off a main road. You can hear a bit of traffic noise but this didn't bother us as we used it purely as a base and don't spend our days sitting outside our caravan.
The site is secure, with an electric gate and key code for entering and exiting. Very helpful owner, like minded campers.
We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

Lovely well kept site, friendly people.
Toilets and showers were closed at time of visit due to COVID restrictions but they did look immaculate. Ruyton X1 towns a short walk away.
The only thing that spoilt it for us was the caravan next door which had been there for a week or so had parked their vehicle on the grass part of our pitch, the owner said he would ask him to move it when he saw him, it stayed there for all of our stay.

Site was very clean and quiet but quite a lot of road noise
Also the chemical disposal arrangement was unsatisfactory- there was no running water available at the point of disposal- just a warring can. This meant facility could not be flushed and was pretty smelly
Waste water involved lifting a heavy concrete cover and towing a full water warrior up s wood ramp. Then getting waste water all over your hand as you undid the cap
Neither of these waste facilities were well thought out or hygienic
Shower block was very clean and well maintained but £1 for a 5 minute showers was a bit steep as it was only just enough time
No dog walk, just walk dog around site
