 This has to be one of the quietist sites we have ever stayed on!
Not the easiest to get to, but once found, very well situated for what's on locally.
Ideal base for the Great Yorkshire show which we visited.
Site is a little tired, one shower and a couple of w. C's, although I did not have to queue for the shower, so not a problem.
The owner was very helpful, and basically allowed us to pitch wherever we wanted to.
We found a couple of nice pubs locally, highly recommend the Wellington Arms in Darley, about 10 mins. Drive, good food.
Tesco and Aldi nearby, Tesco has fuel.
All in all a good site, we hope to visit again same time next year.

Second time at this relaxed, quiet site. The birdsong from the mature trees around the field edges is wonderful.
We saw a hare, kites, redstart, bats and all the commoner stuff.
Great walk round Thruscross Reservoir. The local lanes are quiet and lovely, too.
Jim, the owner, is helpful and very welcoming.

We stayed at Three Acres campsite for 3 nights with our dog at the end of August.
The site is adult only and advertised as a quiet site, and it didn't disappoint.
It was a lovely site, no noise from roads or other campers. There are 2 toilets and 1 shower, which were basic but clean.
Jim the farmer was very helpful and pleasant. He responded to our email booking and questioned promptly
If you like quiet no nonsense sites, then this one is perfect.
We will definitely be back

Nice back to basics site with two toilets and one shower. Shower/loo/basins are kept clean but rooms could do with a bit of cleaning around the skirting boards and doors.
There are no cool box block freezing facilities but this wasn’t a problem for us.
Field is tree lined, not too big and pretty flat which is perfect! There are also some hard standing areas just outside the field.
Site was full due to BH weekend but never queued for toilets or shower so it’s obvious the owners keep the numbers reasonable for the facilities.
Really quiet area with no real road noise or light pollution. Water taps on almost every pitch and area for non ehu. Non ehu pitch was a reasonable £20 per night for two adults.
Fire pits are allowed and the site has a number available, if you don’t bring your own, which looked to be free to use.
A barrow full of wood is £10 but tbh this was mostly unsplit logs and branches which were a bit difficult to get going.
We managed with the aid of some firefighters and some shop bought firewood which got things going enough to burn the logs.
The owner, Jim, is very friendly and helpful and is around the site most of the time.
Great location for visiting Harrogate, Ilkley, Grassington, Ripon etc.

Great site to explore beautiful Yorkshire.
Flat, easy access and basic but with everything you need.
There's two loos and a nice hot shower which is fine on a quiet site and if you're self contained too.
Loved the fact you could borrow a fire pit and sit outside with the sheep and hens.
Peaceful.
Jim is a top bloke with a big smile and welcome.
Absolutely value for money.

Lovely, quiet small campsite, close to Harrogate and beautiful countryside, walks on your doorstep and the Queens Head for a beer and food just down the road, perfect!
This was our second stay and we will return.

We were looking for a quiet no frills caravan site, and we found it here.
Plenty of water taps and ecu's so really its fully serviced.
Jim the owner couldn't have been more helpful, a nice chap to talk to, but he leaves you alone unless you need help or want a chat.
The facilities are basic but clean, I think rustic is a good description of the site overall, its got everything you need for a relaxed stay.
We will definitely be returning, hopefully for a longer stay next time.

Wonderfully tranquil getaway. Hidden gem.
Lovely small site in an outstanding setting… with a stream to relax next to and the sound of baby lambs was a treat.
The washroom and toilets were basic but adequate as other have mentioned so we knew what to expect.
Local pub a shot walk away with delicious food.
Highly recommend!

Really peaceful small site surrounded by sheep, rabbits, owls and squirrels.
Mains water and EHU, 2 toilets and 1 shower. Basic but adequate. Good pub within 1 mile - walking distance.
Jim the farmer is a friendly and helpful chap - only issue would be that we missed the lambs as they’re not due for another couple of weeks!

Quiet and peaceful, well run site in the countryside.
A good location, close to Harrogate and a good base for visiting surrounding towns and villages.
Canal trips are available from Skipton and there is also a steam railway close by.
