Paradise in Umbria. Situated on the shore of Lake Trasimeno, in the park around an old Italian villa - and run by the nice and kind family Posta for more than 40 years - this site is such a nice place to spend summer. (Or spring/autumn in the hotel in the Villa. )
In the Villa there is a great gourmet restaurant, at very reasonable prices.
The site has lakeside swimming, pool, outdoor jacuzi, great facilities, free wifi, and a breathtaking view.
The nearby town of Passignano Sul Trasimeno has good restaurants, supermarkets, great gelaterias, bakery, buther etc.
Closeby is Cortona, Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto, Sienna, Florenz, Panicale etc.
And Rome is a few hours by road or train.
But nothing beats the atmosphere of a friendly nice clean family driven campsite - that just feels like home away from home in the middle of Umbria.
