We tend to use this site for the odd night most years as it is convenient to get to from the huge Sunday market at l'Isle Sur La Sorgue.
It's situated between the Leisure Centre and the Hippodrome. The nice lady receptionist is still there, speaks English too if required.
We were allocated a pitch, near to one of the sanitary blocks as I requested, so down the grassy end where they put tents. Water taps at the back of pairs of pitches very handy.
Sanitary blocks closed in turn for cleaning in the mornings, just as you are trying to use them. All nice and clean though.
Cycled into town as usual, it's a bit tidier each time. There was a fairground there this time, so lots of youths around, and pretty busy in the town.

Despite saying in my review of 2 years ago that we probably wouldn't return, we have done so twice since. Mainly for the convenience of the site, it is very close to the Autoroute so handy for a stopover, and not expensive with ACSI discount.
The last 2 times we stayed there has only been 1 sanitary block open, not too much of a problem as it wasn't too busy. There were a number of youths staying in tents, they tended to hang around the sanitary block in the evening, but weren't rowdy or noisy.
We cycled into the town as it was market day, and for a change the town had a bit of a buzz, made it look much better.
There is work being done in the old centre to modernise the streets, this is already making a difference to the appearence of the town.

We come to Provence a lot, and have shopped at the supermarket in Cavaillon, but never visited the town, so this time we decided to stay overnight and have a look round.
The campsite is situated on the edge of the town next to the sports centre and opposite the river. When we arrived the reception was closed for lunch and a barrier was down, but a man camping near the gate let us in and indicated a pitch where we could wait. He only spoke French and I struggled to understand him, so we set up on the pitch he indicated, which might not have been our first choice. The site is flat, with a section of chalets at one end, and a grassy area at the other.
The pitch we were on was gravel, had a tree for shade, and wasn't too far from the sanitary block, so we were happy enough for the 1 night, though when I went to pay, the nice lady in reception did ask if we wished to move.
There are 3 sanitary blocks. One is down the grassy end, another in the centre nearby, these blocks were modern, even state of the art! The facilities were marked separately for men and women. Away down beyond the chalets were other touring pitches and an old block which didn't seem to have showers, judging by the people passing by.
In the morning, the cleaner came at 8. 00 am and closed the toilet block so we all had to go to use the other one, which was quite a long walk.
Near us was a small playground, but I don't think there were any other facilities on the site. Next door is a swimming pool and tennis courts.
We were given a map of the town and cycled in, quite easy, about 5 minutes or so along quieter streets. There are some interesting buildings in the town, but it felt very run down somehow.
We walked across the road to the riverside, where there is a lot of work going on at present. The river is down below, but you cannot access it, just walk along the top of the banking.
We probably wouldn't return here as there are many other nicer places to stay in the area. The site gives ACSI discount so is not too expensive out of season, and is convenient for the main road.
