We cannot praise this site highly enough. Clean and well run with obvious ongoing investment. Bathrooms are the best we have ever seen and wouldn't be out of place in a five star hotel. Think rain showers, granite sinks and fancy tiles. No push button showers here! Staff friendly, loads to do in the area, huge pitches, beautiful pool. Interesting daily howling from the wolves in the nearby animal park! Fantastic for bird watchers. Griffon vultures and red kites abound. Great walks, great cycling, great place. We never come back to the same place twice, but we can't wait to return next year. Best site ever!
On arrival we were greeted by an English speaking reception who was very friendly and helpful and gave us a English booklet with walks and activities in the surrounding area.
The site has a very warm indoor pool, outdoor pools, flumes etc. There are new shower blocks where the shower rooms would not disgrace a posh hotel, best we have ever seen on a campsite. Thought they be bit limited in number, it was not a problem while we were on site and some being big enough for a family may help.
There is a small amount of road noise and occasionally you can hear the animals in the zoo which is close by.
Pitches are of a good size with water, drain and electricity (6amp)at the corner. Wi-Fi was available throughout the site.
The interesting town is just a pleasant short stroll away and there was plenty going on while we were there and the surrounding mountain scenery was wonderful. There are 2 supermarkets quite close to site and a Boulangerie just outside the gate.
A short drive away there are great and well marked mountain walks, White-water rafting available nearby and there is a cycle way from right outside the site to Lourdes.
We stayed on an out of season ACSI card rate and at 16€ a night was a absolute bargain and hopefully we will return, a great find.
