 A few nights very much enjoyed here this year. We had been before some years ago and the site is very much unchanged. A slightly sloping grassy spot, so as it did rain a fair bit it drained away well.
We enjoy the area very much, Spatham Lane used to be very quiet and is a bit busier these days, but getting on and off the site is very easy, with a coded security gate set well back off the road.
Ditchling common is very close for nice dog walks. The owner is very friendly and they still have an Ostrich in the compound, which you can walk round for a short stroll.
Just be warned that the crossroads in Ditchling and through the village itself particularly heading N to Burgess Hill are not at all caravan friendly, but there are a few far better ways to tow to the site, so check out a route before Sat Nav guides you! With a car it is busy but fine.

Fantastic little site, quiet location but not far from a large town.
Owners were amazing, engaging our pre teen with their ostrich and we were able to try an egg!
Basic site with water and waste disposal. Off ground fire pits allowed and pets welcome too. For the price we could get a better site!

We arrived with our Robens Kiowa for our maiden outing, Geoff is a friendly, helpful fella, who also sells lovely fresh eggs & if you're really hungry, he'll even sell you an ostrich egg, yep really!
Lovely location, tents in a separate field to vans/motor homes (quite right too) great for kids & adults alike, nice walks in the area, while Brighton is a 20 min drive away.
So if you want an unspoilt site, with basic amenities-though Geoff is threatening to provide a WC/shower block for next year, book now, you won't regret it.
