This peaceful CL is on the left, a few hundred yards up the Longridge road from Ribchester, set in peaceful countryside with sweeping views towards Ribchester and the Ribble Valley. Pendle Hill is clearly visible in the distance. The pitches are set off a tarmaced access drive, with rough hard standing on each side. There are two electric hookup points. There are the usual toilet waste disposal point, and bins for rubbish, but we never did find the toilet mentioned in the Club site description. A footpath runs straight past the CL, making this an ideal base for walks in the Ribble valley. You may see four white geese and sheep in the adjoining field, and swallows nest in the farm outbuildings in summer, and can be seen swooping around foraging for insects. The owner is notably friendly, and happy to talk about the local area, or anything else for that matter. In Ribchester itself, there is a Roman museum, and Roman remains including a bath house, and also the old White Bull Inn, which does food and some tasty real ales. The best way to reach the CL is from M6 junction 31a, via Longridge. The CL is on the right just before you reach Ribchester.
