A good central location from which to visit Black Forest region and with some vacancies second week in July. Toilets and showers are probably the best we have come across on any campsite. The pitches are not huge but a reasonable size and most have some shade although overall they are a little unkempt which is surprising when considering the immaculate toilets. There is a hilly meadow area which we used to walk the dog and slightly away from this a slide etc and good football/basketball pitch. We did not use the restaurant but this had wifi (you have to pay for). Reception were very helpful and issue with a voucher to use for free transport for within the Black Forest area. It was very hot when we arrived and I worried about having no pool or river to cool down in and had the weather remained good, this would have been an issue. Wolfach is a couple of miles away and is a lovely little town with good supermarkets, cafes etc but too far to walk to. We Found the people very friendly and many spoke English.
