We booked for a 2 night stay on Halloween / Goth Weekend.

We received a very warm welcome from the owners despite the late hour of our arrival. Beautiful location, easily accessed from the Pickering to Whitby road. Follow the directions in the caravan club directory and you won't go wrong. (when you get into Lockton do not turn right towards Levisham. ) There is a wide access gate from road. Large open grassed field with large pitches overlooking a farmhouse and cottages. The site is very well marked out with information boards on where/how to pitch. Re-cycling area, Chem waste, drinking water supply all separate. There are NO toilets or showers.

Lockton village and surrounding area has a number of great walks which are clearly sign posted. The village of Levisham, and North York Moors Railway are nearby ( warning steep hill down to the station at Levisham so be prepared if walking to the station ).

Had a nice lunch at The Three Horsehoes at Levisham.

25mins drive to Whitby and 10 mins to Pickering. Good TV reception on site plus WIFI ( didn't use this but was strong signal ). Very well laid out CL. Very peaceful location. Would definitely recommend this very well kept CL. Thankyou to the owners - We will be back next year :)
