Really helpful and friendly welcome, clean toilet block and a lovely little camping field with loads of space and a nice peaceful view.
We had a lovely walk up the lane and through some forestry trails with the dog and (for somewhere booked because it was only just off the main route we were taking for one night!)
It was a really enjoyable stay.
Cafe opened earlier than stated for us the next morning for a fabulous cooked breakfast, including treats for the dog.
There are no showers, but the facilities in the toilets are clean and well looked after and the cafe is great.
Thank you!

We only stayed for 1 night to let kids experience camping.
As much as I saw people moaning about having no showers it didn't affect us.
Great place, peaceful.

One night here prior to the excellent bird of prey handling experience at the adjacent World of Wings & Activity Centre (paintball etc). Site didn't particularly suit us so we won't be returning, but it may suit others wanting a nearly wild camping experience close to a town or a cheap stopover not far from the M80. Mown grass area for tents only, no cars on the grass. Hardstand area for motorhomes and cars, no pitches marked out. No EHU. No CDP. No bins, you take your rubbish away with you. No showers, but clean loos and access to water are a very short walk (down a rarely used unlit lane) at The Cabin. This does meals (good bacon buttie for breakfast) and has the site Reception, friendly staff. Little or no noise at night, pretty views of a rural valley. Access road definitely not suitable for caravans.
