 Lovely 4 pitch farm campsite with ehu toilet and shower
Linda met us at gate took us to pitch told us about the canal walks and beautiful pub bottom of hill set on canal Holly Bush Inn
Plenty of walks from site
Just a bit disappointing toilet and shower was not cleaned for our stay but didn't put us of

Just what I needed. This is a working farm with fine views in one direction and barns beside.
There is a canal side pub a few minutes walk away with two branches of the Caldon Canal running through on different levels.
Next time I might bring levelling ramps but the slope was not enough to be a problem.
The toilet and shower are adequate and the electric hook up worked fine. There was a good 4G phone signal.
I'd love to visit again for a longer stay.

Stayed for 3 nights and would have stayed another night but high temperatures were making life difficult for our 2 Scotties.
Warm welcome from Linda.
It is a working farm so dogs need to be on best behaviour and on a lead.
Small toilet/shower block. Water and grey/black waste disposal plus electrical connection to keep the fridge and beer cold.
Nothing to fault, easy access to the canal for walks to Cheddleton/Leek/Endon and just 2 mins from the Holly Bush pub.
Nice site that ticks all the right boxes, would both recommend and visit again.

A 4 pitch site with one WC and one shower in a basic amenities block. The pitches are side by side and there should be enough room for everyone (awnings?) but it is rough grass on a slope.
GOOD POINTS:
Nice views in most directions
Short walk to a decent pub and the canal paths
Quiet spot in evening
Affordable price and nice owner
However. The rough looking shipping containers/gas bottles spoil the view in one direction plus there's some detritus and an old caravan here but just don't focus your attention there!

Great little campsite overlooking countryside, close to pub and long canal walks.
Will be returning.
Toilets, shower and electric hook up on site. Secure gate.
Very friendly owner.

We wanted a child free zone for a few days and found it here. Only 4 pitches on a working farm with easy access to canal (Caldon Canal) walks and the Hollybush pub (food is excellent).
The site is simple but has the essentials - water, EHU, shower and toilet. One thing we would have liked is a pot wash area but this wasn't a deal breaker.
The pitches are on quite steep slopes but the owners offer you plenty of wood to help with levelling. If you want a "no frills" getaway, this is a great place at a great price.

A lovely working farm site with only 4 pitches.
Great communication from the owners.
Small but all you need for a couple of days stay. EHU, toilet, shower, water etc.
Owners were kind enough to loan us wedges as we forgot ours.
Lovely countryside location with pub walkable and near canal for Dog walks etc.

This was my very first outing in my retropod and it didn't disappoint! The lady that runs the site was very welcoming and so helpful. It's a bargain at the price she charges!
The setting is lovely and literally 5-10 mins stroll down the bank is access to canal walks and a lovely canalside pub 'The Hollybush Inn'. Great beers on tap and food.
I also took my paddleboard and booked to launch (£13) at Tittesworth reservoir which was amazing. You can tootle over the water to the cafe/toilets. This is approx 20mins drive from the site.
I felt really safe as a solo traveller, which I think is very important. They have 4 spaces (that I knew of) which meant it wasn't over crowded/busy, so you can just relax and enjoy being amongst the peaceful scenery and farm life. I even met some lovely regulars of the site who helped me set up and gave me lots of tips which I was very grateful for.
This site offers a spacey (warm) shower and separate loo in a mini barn/container a stones throw from where I was set up.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this site especially for all its glory and the bargain price, as I really enjoyed getting back to basics and having some very much needed me time away from hustle and bustle:)
*Side notes:
-Consider a 20ft electric cable. I was situated on the end and my 10ft didn't quite reach. My neighbours luckily saved the day to allow me my morning coffee fix:)
-I would also suggest getting plenty of supplies/snacks as shops are a short drive away. This didn't bother me one bit. I even bought some takeaway prosecco from the pub.
-I walked to the pub and went left down the canal approx 30-45mins (leisurely) is the Flintlock mill and restaurant. A must do for the most amazing food!
