 We've been visiting this site now for 5+ years and absolutely love it here.
Dave and Liz the hosts, you really couldn't meet a nicer couple.
The field is large with 16amp hook up down the far side. Plenty of space for 30 caravans never mind the 5 they have. All pitches are on Grass with a very slight slope. A 1" timber usually enough to get the van perfect.
There are toilets / and a shower available, always spotlessly clean. You receive a code from the hosts
They also have cottages and some unique boats people can stay on.
The lake is stocked with fish and visited by lots of wild birds. A large bench at one end gives a perfect spot to watch the sunset.
There is a dog walk out of the site, this being a footpath it's out of Dave & Liz's hands how it's maintained, normally walkable between which ever crops are growing just be careful of the nettles. This path takes you down into the centre of the village.
The pub sadly has now closed due to Illness of the Landlord / Landlady.
The Pennine trail is around 1/4 mile away and lovely path to walk / cycle into the very centre of Hornsea, around 2. 5 miles.
The site is predominantly used as a wedding venue so some weekends it's not possible to stay as the wedding party takes over the whole site, weekdays however (and Sunday pm) are usually bookable.
The animals on site are bonus for young ( and not so young) children, we always take loads of apples & carrots! If we go with or without Grandchildren.
If you like peace and quiet with lots of room this is an absolutely perfect site, we love it, and very good value too with electric included.

After reading the only review on here we were a little hesitant. But decided to go and make our own minds up and wow we are so glad we did. From the minute we arrived we felt at peace.
A lovely lawned area with hook ups. A fabulous site with a lake to walk around and fish in. Certainly no weeds but some beautiful lilli pads.
The beach was small but ample for relaxing on and building a few sand castles. All the animals were so friendly and loved a stroke a real hit with my 3 children.
The toilet and shower facilities were clean and a real bonus after a day on the beach.
Liz and Dave the owners were wonderful and take real pride of their beautiful site.
Just goes to show. Go and make up your own mind. We will definitely be coming again

We booked this site as it’s on the C&MC CL sites and it had toilets & showers, a pub serving food 400 yards away and a fishing lake and a dog walk….
The pub was closed due to illness but why not update this when my hubby rang a day to arriving he was told it was opening that week,
The lake was a mass of weeds and BEACH was a patch of sand with weeds everywhere the dog path was through a maze of over grown bushes & nettles …
Yes there was toilets you had to use a code to gain entry each time they looked new but the smell was damp & fusty I think the C&MC should check out the CL sites as they are lacking what with lockdown and government handouts. these sites should be well kept but everything was rough around the edges
Concentrating on the wedding bookings they had the path to the barn & facilities was through an over grown edge of nettles and path through the bins and chemical waste yuk
I wish we had gone to a non C&MC 2 mins away it was a lovely site well there is always next time but please be honest as it is so disappointing when you see lovely lawns and facilities on the website pictures like many we look forward to going away 😳
