Nice quiet field with woodland at the back and a stable next door. Two toilets - new/clean facilities (no toilet paper as stated on website). One washing up sink - could do with one more for busy times. The owner is helpful and let us store our bikes in the barn. The Old Swan pub is a short walk away through the woods and is worth visiting. Very good value for money at only £5. Would stay again.

This site is in a beautiful location in the Chilterns. It's basically a field with toilets and washbasin, but the facilities are very well kept. There's no electricity (which I actually prefer), and the site was very quiet at night.
Colin is chatty and normally on site if you need anything.
There is a pub about 15 minutes walk away (on paths, not on the road), the Old Swan, which was nice.
In summary, it's a basic but good site in a beautiful location.

What a great site, yes it’s basic, two toilets, which were clean, and a washing up sink, but for a weekend, what more do you need? The setting of a huge field, with a wood at the back, with lots of footpaths, is beautiful. There is a pub called The Swan only a fifteen minute walk, through the woodland, the food is great and reasonably priced. Colin who owns the site is always on hand, to ask about the walks and the way to the pub, and all for £5. 00 pppn and £1. 00 per dog

Traditional camping; a field, some clean toilets & sinks (no showers) washing up sinks.
The owner is chatty and usually on site.
I walked into Wendover via footpaths (make sure you take a map) but the pub food options there were limited.

Very basic but peaceful campsite. Manager is friendly and helpful
When needed but keeps himself to himself. Only one toilet and sink unit but this is clean and we'll looked after with hot running water.
We had a lovely weekend here with two small children visiting the Roald dhal museum and would definitely come back. It could do with a sign post indicating you've reached the camping field and to let yourself in or maybe a doorbell but otherwise no complaints!
