 We had the planned to camp but when we arrived it was raining heavily and we spotted the pods!
We booked ourselves into a small pod and did a local walk before meeting friends at the nearby pub, The Bridges (a short walk along a foot path).
The campsite was busy with D of E Groups but not a problem - all brilliantly b in ehaved.
A great locations for a campsite - cycled to Bishop’s castle from The Bridges with friends.
Highly recommend staying here

Lovely site, food van excellent for tea and breakfast with seated area,
Facilities clean and tidy (shower £1 for 4 mins), handy little shop, lovely scenic walk to the pub, beautiful scenery and very peaceful.
Great value for money.
Will definitely return.

On arrival, no-one to greet us but clear instructions regarding making contact and payment. Lovely large open field to pick a spot to pitch.
Toilets and showers are at the entrance so worth factoring that into where you pitch !
Showers take £1 coins for 4 minutes and the toilets are clean and regularly checked and cleaned it would appear.
The food can on site we only used for Sunday breakfast as the 20 minute slow wander along the stream to the The Bridges Pub was our main location for the weekend.
Would recommend this site. Very peaceful and so close to the Long Mynd for amazing views and walks.

Stayed in one of the larger pods with family next door in a second pod. At £45 per night including electric thought it was great value. Smaller pods are available at £35 a night. Pods have electricity and kettle, basically a wooden tent so need to bring all of your normal camping gear without the tent.
Nice atmosphere on site particularly with the communal area where people gathered to use the on site catering hut - The Fuelling Station. A great addition providing breakfasts and evening meals at busier times of the year.
We really enjoyed our stay as site is located in a beautiful area and adjacent to the Shropshire Way so you can walk straight out of the site on to a network of footpaths. The Bridges pub just down the road is fantastic and serves great quality food - would thoroughly recommend.
Facilities are a little limited for size of site with only three flush toilets and two hand washing basins in both ladies and gents loos but everything was kept clean and tidy. You'll need to spend £1 for a 4 minute shower but for a weekend of basic camping it was fine.
Access roads are narrow so it's a site for campers and smaller motorhomes - larger caravans and motorhomes would struggle.

Brilliant campsite. Loads of space to pitch, great facilities.
Very flexible. Used for DofE groups but they really weren’t a bother to us. Amazing location.
Beer festival in stretton and a good festival at the Bridges. Perfect location to camp and they didn’t object to our request to sort it all out early.
Timed paid showers- never a bad thing. Very clean.
Owners really helpful. The breakfast bar was even open- really super!

Lovely campsite in beautiful location. Walks right from the door. During busier periods the small cafe is open for breakfast and dinner.
Site is grassed and basic but that's what we wanted, choose your own location, kids could play ball easily and walk along the river. Relaxed atmosphere.
Even when busy wasn't too noisy at night. Lots of D of E kids use here but they are all respectful and quiet (probably exhausted). It's nice and remote so take your food etc.
Can walk to a pub but the reviews there looked bad so we didn't bother.
Drove out to places like Church Stretton, cardingmill valley, Hawkstone Folloes and stiperstones.
Toilets clean, shower you pay for and I couldn't get the hot water to work but I think that's abnormal, never had an issue before. Washing up facility but randomly no water in that.

Even on august bank holiday - perfect stay! Such a big site with wonderful views, easy to turn up and find a good spot.
Amazing clear skies at night, saw shooting stars and the milky way.
Much improved since my last stay here a decade ago; a wonderful cafe area, shop, toilets and showers have been added.
Had wonderful walks in the area too.
Great stay will be returning!

Beautiful campsite, lovely views.
Great facilities, I like the little brick a brac stall with honesty box.
Lovely walk through the woods to the bridges pub where the kids enjoyed playing in the stream.
Relaxed campsite, excellent value for money.

By far the best campsite we’ve ever been to. Facilities and surrounding area are immaculate.
We will definitely be returning.
Only one issue we had was that we knew it was pizza night however it wasn’t on the board outside that we had to pre order in the cafe to make sure we got a slot and we were told they were sold out. Fortunately there was kebab 2000 5miles up the road which made pizza so the kids didn’t miss out.
No other complaints or feedback to offer, we’re really happy and look forward to returning.

A great campsite! There is lots of space, a great little shop, clean showers and toilets and a seating area.
The two owners are very lovely and helpful.
It is a 10 minute walk to the nearest pub which has great food and drinks.
We were only planning on spending one night there but ended up staying for two!
We had a great time and will certainly be returning.
