We stayed at the motorhome 'platz' which was outside but adjoining the campsite. The stellplatz was hardstanding, well spaced out with free water and electricity at each pitch by meter (can't remember the charge but we put in 3. 70E which we hadn't used by the next morning). We paid for use of the shower and toilets on the main campsite but it wasn't necessary as there are free toilets opposite the entrance door to reception. The campsite showers were on the first floor of a block and were free of charge. There were nice views over the Moselle river from the stellplatz. The receptionist wasn't particularly friendly or helpful - the reception was closed when we arrived at 7. 30 pm despite a sign saying it was open to 8 pm. The campsite wasn't always well signed in Treis-Karten but as long as you stay on the left hand side of the Moselle (going upstream) and head for what is obviously an island in the middle of the river, you'll find it. There's a yachting marina attached to the campsite which also had a bar / restaurant. The only noise was from the railway line running along the other side of the Moselle but no trains appeared to run overnight.
