 A peaceful campsite that makes a good first stop after the German border if going north on road 11 through Jutland. A couple of miles east of the larger town of Tonder, Mogeltonder has a former royal residence and park, as well as a beautiful medieval church (inside which you can watch 2 short films about the village's history, free of charge, with English subtitles).
The campsite is very well equipped with all the usual facilities plus reliable free WiFi, a large children's playground with'jumping cushions', an outdoor pool, minigolf and a large TV room with books and games.
A small shop at Reception has bread and other essentials. The ACSI Card low season rate includes 4 kWh of electricity and 2 shower tokens per day.
As cyclists, we appreciated the local cycle paths and made a 20-mile circular ride to the west coast via the village of Hojer, with its lovely cafe by the old windmill.
