We chose this site purely because it was the first site we came to which took tourers on the journey from Flam to Oslo and we needed to stop. It was the most expensive site on our four week trip and the worst. It seems to be in the process of being extended and the ground is rutted and very stony with sparse grass and no separation between pitches - not an attractive place at all despite being on a lake beach. It is right next door to another equally unattractive campsite. The reception building was very smart and the toilet block was also very modern and smart. However, the toilet block was let down by poor cleanliness with over flowing bins and then what had been emptied from the bins was all left in black liners in the walkway between the various toilets. You were given a card from reception and had to pre-load it with money to use the shower (we came across this a few times on our trip but this was the only site you needed to use it to do the washing up).
