I chose this site at it is quite close to home and I wanted to trial a new tent purchase. The weather looked good for the weekend so I booked a pitch.

The booking system on their website is really easy to navigate and use. One the day of our arrival we were late getting there due to work but the owner phoned to say they were closing reception and she gave me fantastic instructions to find our pitch.

We arrived and got set up. We quickly realised the tent field with all the electric pitches is right alongside a road. It isn't an overly busy road, but we still found it annoying. I had checked reviews and no one had mentioned road noise. Be aware there is some. If you want traffic noise free camping ask to be on the back field, or at least try an electric pitch that is not EP8, 9, 10 as the road is directly behind the hedge.

The toilet and shower facilities are fine. They aren't the nicest I've ever seen but definitely clean and in good working order.

The other thing to note is the Cockerell will be awake at the crack of dawn and within a few minutes of him crowing, the farmer will be at work too.

All that said, the site is lovely. Each field is well laid out and the pitches are not crammed in too much. There is plenty of space in the middle for kids to play.

The location is great for the ice cream farm, candle factory and crocky trail.

Fantastic campsite, we came with my son his wife and 2 grandboys

We had two tents in the far field as the site was full

We found the site clean, tidy, shower facilities lovely and clean,

A little shop so handy for the basics,

A site warden that was a really nice lad, Suzanne and her husband are so welcoming and really lovely to see a family business so passionate about the running of there business,

The little afternoon bar is a delight with plenty off benches to sit down with a pint of local draught beer or a cocktail.

We will definitely coming back to thus site.

Lovely little campsite, very happy with the reasonable prices.

Owners are very welcoming and friendly, who are working hard to make improvements. We were very lucky with our pitch location.

Not a problem for us as the site was quiet, there is only one toilet and shower. I’m sure when the improvements have been made to toilet, shower and wash up area (no hot water to wash pots) this site will be amazing. We just used our kettle to boil hot water for the pots.

We would recommend for campers who do camping not glamping!

This site is owned by the loveliest people who made us feel so welcomed and offered us local areas for a full day adventure.

The site is even partnered with a local pizza restaurant with the best pizza we've had while here in UK. Delivered on bike with a smile.

The site was well maintained, the amenities were very clean and tidy and the location was easy to get to as we backpacked and walked from the bus stop.

This site also has a little shop that has any necessities and rents fire pits if you need.

The perfect get away to get through some books, explore the country side and even venture to the castles !

It gave us New Zealanders a little feeling of being home. We will be back for sure!

I definitely plan to stay here again. Firepits are great too!

Spacious, clean, friendly, well organised. Flat!

Great for families, dogs, fires and close enough to things to do, pubs, and shops.

An absolute gem of a site that doesn't cram people in and is all about the experience.

Great toilet and shower facilities and lots of things on the go, events and activities etc.

Would definitely recommend and will visit again!

Absolutely love this site, the owner is so pleasant and helpful.

There is a toilet and shower block which is kept very clean, and 3 sinks for washing up with plenty of hot water.

There is a spar in the village along with various restaurants and takeaways only just over a mile from the campsite.
