 Small friendly campsite whereas most in the area appeared huge with 200-300 plus pitches. This has 70 plots, only 19 for tourers as the rest are cabins. Open all year.
We were shown to a pitch and hooked up within a few minutes of arrival, offered a price of €17 per night.
The showers / loos are unisex (no seat or loo roll) clean and tidy and renovations taking place. Washing machine and dryer in facilities block together with washing up sinks (only cold water). Showers refurbished recently inside, new tiling, shower heads etc - piping hot water.
Pitches are large and on sand, lots of shade from very high trees across the site. There is a fresh water fill / grey water empty near the entrance and another with hosepipe at the facilities block.
There are two swimming pools on site, a small shop and a cafe bar - all closed when we were there in winter. Wifi across the site included in pitch fee - good strong signal.
Main appeal for us was cycle tracks, just a few hundred yards from campsite we joined off road cycle path which took us one way to Capbreton and the other to Bayonne. Lovely walks through the forests out to the beaches.
On the downside we found the site a bit dark as totally tree covered, unless you walk or cycle a fair distance not much to do in the area.
For a short stay site was ideal, we were the only tourers but residents on site friendly as was warden - very little English spoken
