This was our third visit to this amazing campsite. We were welcomed by the friendly wardens and had the choice of many huge spaces in the 'wild camping' field. We pitched with our door facing a great view towards the sea and with the view of a beautiful windmill! Sitting outside our tent, just chilling was an important part of our holiday.
It is a perfect campsite for our needs. Its beauty is in its simplicity. There are beautiful paths, beaches and lots of places to visit within walking distance, and it is fairly flat. There is a good bus service from Burnham Market too, which meant that we were able to be car-free most of the time. The people who use the site tend to want a peaceful escape, so it is generally quiet, and the simple rules are well kept, or gentle reminders are given by the wardens, ensuring that everyone is happy.
Facilities are basic, with spotless, huge showers and adequate, clean toilets. We never had to queue. The washing up sinks do not have hot water but a quick boil of a kettle remedies that, if needed. There are chargers for phones in the church and on-site if needed and a small freezer to freeze ice packs.
This is one of our favourite sites and it is good to know that all fees paid, go back to the community, for the church upkeep and supporting other important charities locally. The volunteers who run it are fantastic! Thank you to you all.

Please note this site is open during August only. Bookings can be made on their website - please read their terms carefully especially regarding refunds. Their showers and toilets are open, but they recommend you bring your own toilet facilities (loo tents are free to pitch) as some pitches are 400 metres from the facilities and there may be queues.

A great little site with basic amenities, lots of space and beautiful views. I thought the 2 showers might mean queuing but I only had to wait a few minutes on a couple of occasions.
Each shower was roomy with plenty of hooks, a chair and most importantly instant hot water. Lovely wardens and a generally friendly feel.
We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed a couple of great days on the beach at Burnham Overy Staithe which is well worth the walk.
My only suggestions for minor improvents would be to add hot water to the basins in the toilets (given the price is same/more than less basic sites) and to mark pitches (a family came and pitched 3m from our tent on the last night, we didn't make an issue of it as it was our last night but it would have been annoying earlier in the holiday.
We didn't see it happen elsewhere on site so perhaps not a common problem).
