Lovely, peaceful site with good sized pitches and plenty of clean toilets and showers.
Friendly site manager.
The fire pits were an added bonus.
Well located for walks and good pub food.

Being a small friendly site with rabbits, chickens and a small play and
Swings facility, this is a perfect place to take toddlers and upwards.
Pitches are flat and sizable.
In the village there are two useful store; also a really good playground on the Rec which is just round the corner from the Willows pub.

The Site was Fantastic, Clean Facilities
Loads to do for Children, or Families,
Or Just relax Beside your Camp area.
Loads of space on the Pitch we were on.
Loved it. The only thing Lacking Is Shop to get Milk and Bread, Basic Items. But there is in Barrow 1/2 mile Down the road.
Friendly Site Owners, who Go Out Of there way to help you with anything.
Would recommend to anyone who wants a good break away. A++*****

Small friendly site, flat pitches for our tent. Lots of toilets and showers, some indoor facilities and also outdoor. Julie the owner was always about to help with any queries we had, she was great, nothing was too much trouble.
The site felt very safe and perfect for children. Our two grandchildren and their dog came to see us one day and had a great time in the park and playing football with their grandad.
Perfect for walking to the village of Barrow about a mile away, which has two pubs serving good food There are two shops and fish and chip shop.
Easy to get to Bury St Edmunds we went by the country roads, took about ten minutes, there is also a bus service going into bury st Edmunds from Barrow.
Grounds around the Abbey and Cathedral are well worth a visit, plus lots of individual shops to browse. There is an Anglo Saxon village recreated on original site, in West Stow, which is close by.
Countryside views from our tent across the open fields were amazing, especially the sunsets.
Our only dislike was no cover over the outdoor washing facilities, if weather is wet, but never queued to use them, there is one undercover sink in camping hub, though.
We had a great time and would recommend.

Campsite not as expected, a very muddy track around the site, over flowing bins at the entrance, site seemed quite squashed, pitches smaller than expected, felt like we were joining the next door tent for their tea. And a family playing the same music over and over again, very loudly, didn't even realise the venga boys actually had an album!
Table tennis and other games were a great idea, but being used by the same group of young lads all night.
Toilet facilities were spotless.

Weather was very wet and windy, pitched up on the access road! Julie was very helpful in setting us up. Lots of walks nearby, 2 dog friendly pubs, 2 village stores, cafe and post office and opposite the church. What more could you want? Well yes, sun!

We stayed here over the Early May Bank Holiday. The site is on the edge of the village of Barrow which is 2 miles off the A14, so easy to get to. It is a small site and the owners were really friendly and helpful. We were a bit late arriving but Julie soon appeared once we'd rung the mobile number given.
The pitches are generous, level and had been recently mowed. The campsite is part of a complex which includes amongst other things a gym, outdoor assault course and hair salon. It is very much a rural setting and it was very quiet and peaceful.
There are plenty of public footpaths around for walking. Barrow village has two pubs, two convenience stores and a super takeaway. Bury St Edmunds is around 5 miles away and has a good selection of independent shops and things to see and do.
On site there are currently some outdoor portacabin facilities for ablutions etc, but there are also facilities in the main building which is open in the daytime, which we always used. They were clean and regularly checked.
There was a generous area for playing games which had a couple of football goals.
We really enjoyed our stay and will return!
