An ok site for a stopover, or to visit the races, near the rat run that is called the A50. Easy to find, turn off at the roundabout near Uttoxeter and follow the signs to Ashbourne, past a farm and a quarry, next on the right. Quite a tight entrance for a large unit, ok with care but it would be better if a tree was removed and the driveway straightened.
It's basically just a field next to Ivy the owner's house, she also runs a B&B. She will come out and meet you when you arrive, so have your £13 ready.
The roads are very busy all day but Ashbourne Road calms down in the evening, the A50 doesn't; you will probably want to go down to the roundabout to buy fuel and food, if only overnighting, so be prepared to wait for a gap in the traffic.
We would probably not use it again, there are better and quieter sites around.
