The laid back attitude of Will & Angelique and there lack of silly rules, basically be considerate to other campers. Only open in the summer months, July, Aug & Sept.
The circular pitches (about 24) are mown out of long grass, with a short drive to park on, there is a mown drive way all around the camping field with about 20 meters at least between pitches so plenty of space unlike big commercial sites. On each pitch there is a pile of sand with a wheel fire pit on, Will comes around at about 7:30 selling logs (£5 per bag). None of the pitches have electric hook-up so a cool box is good idea- there is a freezer to freeze cool blocks in one of the out buildings.
The camping field has two spotless porta loos and two washing up sinks-no hot water, at each end of the field so not far to go. At the house there are two showers and a flush loo all of which were spotless plus a small honesty shop. In Whitstone, there is a Spar shop a short walk away about 1. 5 miles. The main exit from the camping field is onto the lane which is narrow but not busy. There are also chickens, ducks, horses & pigs.
Bude has the normal supermarkets, Sainsburys, Co Op, lidl. A nice little town with not the run of the mill shops or arcades! The sea pool is well worth a visit and its free and a short walk from Sainsburys car park. Other places to visit Port Isaac for Doc Martin fans, Tintagel for king Auther and Clovelly to name a few
