 Excellent site with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and views towards Chesterfield.
Very friendly owner.

My husband and I had our first weekend away at this lovely peaceful site with lovely views in the very nice village called Old Brampton. It is run by a lovely lady called Sara who is so helpful and nothing too much trouble.
There are 6 large pitches water and ehu at a very reasonable fee of £17 per night which includes £3. 50 a night electric, anything over that you pay for as extra. There is a toilet with wash hand basin and it is heated!
There are pubs within walking distance, The Royal Oak is the nearest, the Fox and Goose was our favourite with a lovely open fire and pleasant bar staff. We only had drinks but the food looked nice. The Peacock is in the other direction but we didn't visit that one.
We walked to Linacre reservoir which took about 25 minutes but would be easier in better weather.
Lots of foot paths and walks in the area which we would love to come back in better weather to try.

What a fantastic little site 6 pitches all hard standing (rock pegs needed) with EHU.
Clean and tidy on a working farm.
The site has a toilet and washing up facilities again very clean and tidy.
If you like small sites with a friendly feel this is one for you.

Basic facilities but very clean. Extraordinary views.
Pitches are large and adequately level for a motorhome not to need any chocks to level.
Sara the owner is friendly and very helpful.
Sink block has lots of information about local attractions. Very quiet and a lovely place to relax.
Short drive (Chesterfield) to stock up on essentials and site sells potatoes (just being harvested) and eggs.
Definitely be back soon.
Could have done with a grey water drain which is easily accessible for a motorhome.

Ideal location for walking and cycling, not far from Linacre reservoir and plenty of woodlands.
Pitches are well spaced even though there are 6 hardstanding, our only gripe is the fact that you are allocated a pitch via a photo, only been allocated a pitch twice before in over 20 years camping!
But maybe a little stake with the pitch number on would be a better option, causing less confusion.
At £15 a night with electric we found this very good and good value. The washing shed was adequate though not used by ourselves, the information pamphlets need updating.
The toilet looked clean, again not used by us, the blue waste was suitable.

Fantastic site, staff are brilliant and extremely accommodating.
Would return if visiting the area and would highly recommend.

Great site, friendly owner,
Facilities are great and clean.
Very peaceful with only a handful of pitches.

The site was good value for money in a quiet location.
Good views and local footpaths direct from the campsite.
There was a clean, spacious toilet facility with heating. Although there were no shower facilities, but we were aware of this prior to booking.
2 pubs within walking distance.

A great little site with extensive views over farmland and towards Chesterfield. No shower but spotless toilet. Walks directly from the site and on a bus route to Chesterfield.
Perfectly placed to explore the Peak District with Chatsworth House, Bakewell and other villages within short driving distance.
Would highly recommend for the price.
