 Surprisingly good campsite, ample to book through UK Campsites, drive in, find pitch which has your name on it.
Plug in, grab a bite to eat, shower and settle down for the night.
Exceptionally good facilities, quiet and off the beaten track, no barrier so great for early Dieppe ferry, lots of narrow roads but not much traffic about so 30 minutes into Newhaven.
Can’t fault it and will use it again without hesitation.

Remarkably good site, quite handy for Newhaven port.
The shower, toilet and washing up facilities at this site are exceptional, warm, clean and of a very high standard, thoughtfully designed and managed.
We found the site through UK Campsites and it was simple to book in advance, turn up and pitch, importantly for us on this occasion - no barrier to hamper us leaving for an early morning ferry.
Located in a part of East Sussex we haven’t explored enough of in the past Scallows is one of the very best sites of this kind that we have ever stayed at.
Full credit to Tim for the way that this site is run, we highly recommend it.

We stayed here for2 nights between Christmas and new year, what a little gem.
5 pitches all on hardstanding and well spread out. Electric on each pitch and 2 water taps.
Shower block very modern with 2 showers and 2 toilets.
We will definitely be returning.

Very very quiet site. The access lane outside is off the main road so no real traffic noise.
Very modern clean toilet/shower block. 2 toilets and 2 showers but never a queue.
Nearest pub is about a mile away but no pavement for some of the way so could be a little spooky at night if you walk but very little traffic. We didn't try it as they don't take dogs.
Wouldn't hesitate to use again.

Can't speak highly enough of this lovely campsite, large pitches, lovely views and well kept.
Stayed here many times now and love it.
Showers and toilets are excellent and immaculate.
Tim the owner makes you feel like old friends and always on hand.

We stayed on this lovely site for three weeks. The hardstanding pitches were generous with their own electrics, and water each end of the site.
The toilets and showers were spotless and there was always plenty of hot water and soap plus anti bacterial handwash and spray.
Lots of owls to hear at night and the lovely little village of East Hoathly, with a general store, coffee shop and good pub, a two minute drive down the road.
We shall definitely be returning.

Nice village to walk to with shop, pub and cafe.

Just spent a glorious weekend here. Lovely site, quiet and peaceful, 5 hardstands and 3 grass pitches, all with EHU and very generous size,
Amazing shower/toilet block, owner Tim lovely man and very helpful.
20 minute pleasant walk into East Hoathly Village, with lovely pub and tea rooms. This is our 2nd visit.
Will definitely be back 🙂

A hidden gem. Tim was so helpful.
Toilets and showers were immaculate. No shortage of hot water any time of the day.
WiFi facility would be the icing on the cake.

A nice little quiet site despite being close to the road.
Good hardstanding pitches. Shortish walk to East Hoathly village with good pub and shop.
