Booked this site as we wanted to stop in the Bodensee area for our summer holiday to visit spots nearby. I specifically chose this site away from the lake as reviews elsewhere suggested the pitches were bigger than the crowded lakeside sites, sadly that wasn't the case. We had just enough room for our van, a large porch awning and our car and I felt on top of other caravans / people all week. It would be fine in less busy season with more empty pitches though.
The shower blocks were excellent, automatic doors modern tiling / heated floors and hotel style quality. There were free dishwashers to use. The kids play areas were the best we've had. The pool was a good size with plenty of loungers but very cold. Reception staff were helpful and spoke English when my German ran out.
Acess and ease of finding the site is good, just outside of the small town of Markdorf right by the McDonald's. There was an Aldi & Lidl plus a few other supermarkets in town. The restaurant was excellent and there is a small shop on site. There were some local produce sellers bringing their food to sell through the week, which was nice. They have crazy golf and a snooker version called pitt-patt but both were really hard to play and cost €5 each.
Sadly despite the high season / number of visitors the facilities shut down at 8, so there was no ambiance to the place compared to other European sites we've used. I would recommend this site as base location for exploring the area in less busy seasons. via mobile
