 Another old-school muni. Massive pitches, very flat and level, lots of mature trees for shade. Views are dominated by Mont Ventoux.
Impeccably clean sanitaires. Three fridges and a microwave for use by campers. Tea/coffee making facilities on the verandah of the Accuiel which is where the strongest wi-fi signal is.
The site ran an 'Auberge Espagnol' bring and share supper with wine and cheese/ice-creams provided the evening after we arrived.
Be warned that the ground is extremely hard. Even with a proper claw-hammer and hard ground pegs driving and extracting pegs was quite an effort.
There's a good general stores five minutes walk away and an excellent bakery in the village proper.
Vinsobres is a pretty, prosperous-seeming village. There are a couple of decent cafe/restaurants and a plethora of way-marked walks and cycle routes. There are plenty of caves including the village co-op, three or four of which are walking distance from the site for the enthusiastic imbiber.
13 Euros/night for two without electricity in high season.
