 I come here twice a year for a week to fish the lake. The site itself is sheltered by trees & there are 5 hardstanding pitches with EHU & most are level.
The shower & toilet facilities are basic but cleaned daily. The toilets are shared with anglers who do not always respect them.
The shower is single cubicle with plenty of hot water & free to use.
There is a water & chem toilet disposal area near the bins. The site is adults only.
The fishing is pretty good but it’s not an ‘easy water’. Bream are the most numerous species. It’s a lovely lake the mostly level concrete pegs & is about an acre in size.
The nearest shops etc are in Cockermouth - about a 5 minute drive. There are no shops or pubs etc in Brigham.
For me the site is perfectly adequate. £20 a night for a unit with awning, £18 without an awning. The fishing is £8 per day collected on the bank.
The one negative is the track along the side of the lake to the campsite proper. It’s pretty uneven, although I believe some work to fill in the potholes is planned.
