 Cwm Bychan Campsite is a very basic, rustic camp and parking field next to Llyn Cwm Bychan in the Rhinogydd mountains of Eryri National Park (Snowdonia)
There are no toilets, showers, rubbish bins, or drinking water. You must take all waste away with you.
Farm sheep graze freely in and around the camping field, so dogs must be kept under close control.
It's a direct starting trailhead for walks heading up into the hills and the historic Roman Steps, and a popular spot for hikers and cold-water swimmers looking for remote wilderness
Access requires driving about 3 miles along very narrow, single-track Welsh lanes with limited passing places. Large motorhomes or large long-wheelbase vans can find the tight turns and overhanging branches extremely difficult.
