This is a lovely place to stay to get away from it all. The site is basic, but had all we needed. The camping field lies south of the farm buildings, is screened by a hedgerow, and approached down a short tree lined track.
There is a shepherd's hut for glamping at the top of the camping field with a gravel hardstanding. There are extensive views over farmland from the campsite. We found the site very peaceful, with a little traffic noise in the distance from the A38, but not enough to disturb us.
The camping is on mown plots in a large meadow, with a mown perimeter track and drives to the individual pitches. I think there were 8 pitches, but even with full occupancy we would have been a long way from the nearest neighbours. We only saw two other tents on the field.
At the edge of the field are 8 individual toilet cublcles with flushing wc and wash basin. You are given your own key for the duration of your stay. Adjacent to the row of toilet cubicles are two shower rooms with shower cubicle, basin, and wc, accessed by keypad.
This level of security is to prevent access by any campers turning up without a booking and not paying. All the toilets and showers were very clean. A hedgerow has been planted to screen the facilities, but this is quite small at the moment.
There was a shed at the top of the field with freezer and freezer packs for our coolbox. And a mains power point to charge a phone or battery pack. Charcoal was available to buy for a BBQ.
The owner was very friendly and helpful, and was there if needed. He was restoring an old showman's caravan as an additional glamping unit. That will be lovely when finished.
The location is great for exploring South Devon, Plymouth, and Dartmoor. There are large supermarkets just off the A38 at Ivybridge and Plymouth.
An ideal spot for a basic no frills camping holiday, at a good price. We paid £140 for 7 nights in early June.

The campsite was very pretty and peaceful. We had plenty of space and views across the hills.
Each pitch has it’s own locked toilet which was very clean and shared warm solar showers.
The booking was efficient and we had a friendly reception.
The location was convenient for Dartmoor and half an hour from lovely beaches but the lanes were very narrow.
We would definitely visit again.
