Gorgeous spot and incredibly peaceful, but handy for so many places on ardnamurchan.
The owners are cheerful friendly and helpful, and the facilities, although small are immaculate.
We'll definitely be back

Very accomodating and helpful owners and friendly reception. Location lovely in a beautiful area.
The site however to us looked like a building site,
The facilities looking like old builders' porta loos. Hard standing was crush and run.
Nothing had been done to soften the look of the site. No fencing around the site.

Small but cosy site on the edge of the river Shiel. Bit of a problem when we arrived as had been overbooked but this was soon dealt with by the family, most helpfully.
We were advised where we could go for a pleasant evening walk nearby.
Facilities were different to any seen before but very clean, well maintained and adequate for a small site.
We would be happy to go again.

There's lots to like here: riverside setting, friendly, tidy and quiet, things to do nearby.
The site give you a welcome pack which could be slightly better arranged but gives useful info including a walking guide. Arisaig or Mallaig is reachable so boat trips to the smaller isles (Rum, Eigg, Muck) are possible. The Ardnamurchan Peninsula is a great area to explore.
Most local places to eat need booking in advance and opening times can be iffy. Mingarry Park Hotel offers good food and a nice setting. Loch Shiel Hotel is OK. There's a cafe in Acharacle too.
Nice site in a lovely setting - hope they don't over expand and lose the small scale friendliness here but other sites on Ardnamurchan Peninsula may be closing. £20 per night with EHU.

This new CS is a credit to the owners and is an excellent example of a friendly club CS. It is in Ardnamurchan, which is a beautiful part of Scotland that we have been visiting for over 30 years.
The site is very well looked after. Karen’s parents live on site, and are always ready for a chat, advice and assistance. It is the sort of site where everyone speaks to each other.
There are two toilets and showers, one each for males and females. All facilities are well planned. Karen’s parents are former caravanners, and know what we need on a site.
The site is on a very quiet road, which is a cul de sac with only local traffic. It overlooks the River Shiel near the foot of Loch Shiel, and it is possible to see otters, deer and golden eagles. It is suitable for kayaking and paddle boarding.
The village centre of Acharacle is approximately 1. 5 miles away, and has a general store and post office, craft shop and the Loch Shiel Hotel.
The village of Salen is about 3 miles away, and also has a general store. We recommend the Salen Hotel for good food. Glenuig, about 6 miles away has a lovely pub overlooking the water and a smokehouse. Ardtoe and castle Tioram are the closest sandy beaches, just a short drive or bike ride away.
Other places we recommend are Sanna, in our opinion the most beautiful beach in Scotland, the Ardnamurchan Visitor Centre at Glenmore, Ardnamurchan Lighthouse, the Ardnamurchan Distillery and and Tobermory, reached by ferry from Kilchoan.
If towing, we recommend travelling via the A830 to Lochailort and through Glenuig. It avoids the Corran Ferry and means that the final single track section of road is only about 5 miles, with better sightlines and double track at any hilly or winding stretches.
We highly recommend this lovely site.
