A beautiful site with stunning views and an excellent host. You will feel well and truly looked after here. The site has toilets, showers are 50p and very generous, we never needed to feed the meter again, even when showering 2 small children.
The site is up a quiet lane with loads of waking and running available straight out of the door. Cawthorn Roman Fort is in easy walking or cycling distance as is the pub at Newton on Rawcliffe.
There are slides and ride on toys for small children and a tyre swing and larger slide for the older ones.
Fires are allowed and there are fire pits and barbecues to borrow plus and honesty shop selling snacks, drinks and firewood.
Perfect idyllic location. We will be back.

Overnight stay while hiking with the kids.
Really friendly owner who was happy to accommodate us at short notice.

Ideally placed for visiting the lovely villages surrounding the area, especially liked Thornton-le-Dale & the Mathewson classic car auction in the High Street.
Would definitely return & explore some more
