 Booked and paid online, instructions of where the site is and the code to the barrier are sent online. Although the site shows that it is just off the A9 because of the forest surrounding the site and the elevated position there is very road noise at all.
Level hardstand camping spots, each one is surrounded by trees so it makes it seem you are the only one there; there is a separate area for tents.
The farm is a Christmas tree growing farm, as well as livestock, but the campsite is self-contained.
You enter via a barrier and find your spot. Although not shown on the UKCampsite information, the site has two shower/toilet units, two separate toilet units, a pot wash area and washing machine area; all with hot water and radiator heaters in each of the shower rooms.
We used it as a stop over but would have been more than happy to have used the site as a base for exploring the local area and also Inverness.
Not far off the NC500 or even the NC250 so could easily be used as a stop over; definitely a site to consider if heading North or South.

Arrive early enough to take your pick of the pitches as they are not allocated. Not that any are bad but you may have a preference to be near or away from the shared ablution cabins/bins/washing up area. Most pitches are tucked in the trees and greenery with a picnic table provided on some pitches. There seems to be a Xmas tree farm to the rear!
The owner visited whilst we were there to check on things and asked if we were happy with everything. Yes, we were! Clean facilities but as ever they will only be as clean as the last user and if they cleaned up after themselves with the mop left outside.
It's a quiet site but you can hear a not too distant buzz of the A9 traffic going into and out of Inverness.
Nearby, nipping under the A9, there's the settlement of North Kessock with a Spar type shop, a tearoom, hotel/pub and a seafood van visits weekly. You can walk along the front here to the area under the big bridge. It's a good location for exploring The Black Isle which is nice.

Fabulous site just a few minutes off the A9 but no road noise.
Big, hardstanding pitches with electric each at a slightly different level from it's neighbour, add to that planting between pitches and each one is very private.
There is also a large grass area for tents and next to that a large fire put for everyone to use.
As per previous reviews good showers and loos - immaculately clean. There is a washing machine, drive over moho point, recycling and chem disposal.
We booked and paid online and received auto email confirming our pitch number. However, on arrival sign says if pre-paid choose any empty pitch. Think that's a bit confusing if site is busy. (we didn't see anyone from site whilst we were there).
It's only minutes from the A9 bridge so easy access to visit Inverness or the Black Isle.
There had been a lot of hardwork and investment in this site and we can't recommend it enough.
We loved this site and now we know how good it us will be back later in the year for a longer stay.

Stayed here as part of NC500, lovely secluded pitches with the best shower I have had on a campsite!
High pressure showers and really hot not to mention clean.
Big communal fire pit where we got chatting to some fellow campers.
Rod who guided us to our pitch was really friendly and helpful.
Definitely recommend.

The pitches were on a first come bases and as we were there early was able to pick a nice pitch,
We found the shower and toilet facilities very good on arrival however there was not the opportunity to clean them yourself so by morning not so good,
Found the owner very helpful

This was Good site had everything we needed, no complaints at all.
We enjoyed our stay great stopover on route to Thurso.
Would definitely stay again.

Lovely quiet site with fabulous toilet/showers.
Very clean, fab for touring around the area at this time of year.
Also nice to have somewhere to walk the dogs.
Easy to get to just of the A9.

It's a really nice site. The pitches are very close to being level, each bay has a grass border with conifers each side.
The toilets/showers are clean and bright. New this year I was told, and plans for more. Motorhome service area is well proportioned, and well lit. Plenty of bins.
Very dark at night, which is okay, just remember your torch. Only negatives are the lack of a light on the dish washing facility area. And very sketchy mobile phone signal. Free WiFi on site though.
Easy access to the Snakey, or to go further North. It's easy to find too. We were surrounded by cloud when we stayed, so little in the way of views to comment on by us. Nice to hear the owls at night, and we did see a kite fly overhead.

Very peaceful and secluded small site in woodland, yet only 3 minutes from A9. Ideal for those transiting the A9, visiting Inverness or exploring the Black Isle.
Limited facilities at present, Portaloo no hot water or showers, but according to owner upgrades are planned to this newly opened site.
