 The name says it all, it truly is a getaway. A calm relaxing place to unwind and relax. If you want neat lawns, heated shower blocks and pristine parking spaces then this is not the site for you.
The toilets and combined showers are unisex and basic, very clean and unusual to say the least.
Would not like to use them if the weather was cold. There is a campers kitchen and lounge, The Nook, very cosy. 35 euros per night with EHU, this is typical of the sites in ROI.
Showers are free which is unusual in ROI. Friendly welcome from the owner.
The site is not far from Dungarvan but it does seem like it is when you are travelling to it. It is up a narrow windy road off the N25.
It is important to follow the instructions that are given by the site.
We loved it here and will go again if we are in the ROI on tour.
