 Excellent, small, adults only site.
Very good restaurant and pub on site too. A bonus.
The facilities were great and wanted for nothing. Pitching room was ample and flat.
Costs were reasonable too at £29 per night.
Cheaper than most albeit just out of season.

We stopped here as a one night stop-over traveling from Cromer to Bolton. The access is very easy just off the A17. There is a reception hut as you enter site, on my visit there was a note asking arrivals to check in at the bar.
There is an entry fob system, a refundable deposit of £10 is needed. We weren't given much information about the site when checking in but it is a small site, all fully serviced pitches.
The pitches are delimited by small bushes and an occasional tree. The electric and water are on one bollard, the drinking water on the caravan side the electric socket is one the same bollard but on the other side ie you need to hook up by going onto your neighbours pitch.
The amenity block is compact and modern with toilets and one shower in both of the amenities for men and women. The shower was push button operated. The grounds are very well maintained there was a quiet peaceful ambiance to the place.
Initially I couldn't find the fob reader for the barrier access. It was, as you'd expect, on the right hand side before the barrier but hidden by some bushes that needed some trimming.
All the staff we met were very helpful and friendly. The road surfaces are gravel I had some difficulty in pushing my wife's wheelchair on some gravel that had not been compacted.
We used the restaurant and bar and enjoyed an excellent meal.
We wish we had booked in for more than one night and should we be in the area again we would not hesitate to revisit.

As a solo traveller from north Manchester to Hunstanton for my first Rally, I decided to travel down on the Sunday prior and stopped at The Thatched cottage for a night.
I found the site staff incredibly friendly and helpful. The pitches are all fully serviced, hardstanding and wirh its own grassy area alongside.
There is a small woodlands/orchard which is natural burial site. It was teaming with Birdlife and yet very tranquil.
The ablutions are modern and contains 3 toilets and 1 shower ( which services the 20 pitches)
There is a washing up area and is under cover along with the Elsan point
There is a lovely water feature which added to the peaceful ambience of my stay.
The on site restaurant is reasonably priced, staff are friendly, helpful and most convenient
There are little ponds and at the time of my visit they were finishing off 3 lakeside cabins.
Entrance is Access controlled via a fob (£10 deposit which is returned when you hand it back)
I didn't do any exploring so not able to comment on that only that I would definitely stay here again

We stayed here as part of a group and enjoyed our stay. The site was quiet despite backing onto bungalows nearby. There was some road noise but it did not distract from the peaceful setting. Nice hard standing plots but some grass ones there as well.
The on-site facilities are modern and clean. Although there was only one shower in each section of the facilities I never had to wait despite 15 of the 20 pitches being occupied. The waste wasn’t segregated which a found a little disappointing. There are washing up facility as well as a modern Elsan disposal point.
A fishing lake is on-site with lots of young carp etc so no need for large bait. The rules are typical of most lakes but it’s the first one I have come across which insisted on toxic free shot. No fixed price for fishing.
There is a green buried ground in the orchard at the back of the site but it’s only a 10 minute walk around it.
Buses to Spalding and Boston can be caught at bus stops less than 5 minutes walk away. Bar on site offers good value food and drinks and is effectively the Pub in the village and is very popular especially for Sunday lunch.

Last minute booking for 1 night on Good Friday. Easy to follow directions to campsite and first impressions as we pulled in were good.
Reception was closed so went in to the restaurant as advice and was quickly helped by a member of staff who was polite, friendly and welcoming.
We were shown to our pitch - well spaced with shrubbery to divide each pitch.
The toilet block with shower was exceptionally clean even though the site was quite full.
Lovely lake with ducks and fish, very peaceful!
No noise from other campers just nature. The restaurant was open for breakfast, although we didn't use, it was very clean and tidy.
Price was spot on for what was there. As it was a flying visit we didn't get to see around the area this time though did notice a chippy and play park just outside the campsite.
We will definitely stay here again when up to visit our Son or if passing through.
Wouldn't bother looking for anywhere else, don't think this site could be beaten in this area in my opinion - Thank you

In over 40 years of touring, this is one of the best, if not the best, site we have ever used.
Everything has been planned by a regular caravanner and built to the highest quality and beautifully maintained.
We have never stayed on any Club site as nice.
Plus there is a good restaurant on site.
