Met up with a couple of other lady solo campers for a weekend here. It's all very laid back and good value for solo campers at £10 pppn, no charge for dogs.
You choose where to pitch but it's difficult to find a reasonably level place that is sheltered from the wind and this weekend the wind was very fierce.
There are 40 acres to choose from, spread over 3 levels, so easy to get away from everyone else even if it is quite busy.
The compost toilets were clean and tidy with sanitiser gel and toilet paper provided but, being on the short side, I did find them a bit of a struggle!
Best to take your own water as, although some is available, it is not for drinking as it has been standing in the container.
There is a handy snack bar which does breakfasts and snacks, I had a very nice pie, chips & beans one evening, but apart from that you need to take all food etc with you as the shop does not sell groceries.
Be aware also that the track into and around the site is very potholey and bumpy.

We first went for a day visit £5 each. Then a night over at £10 each per night. This is a wild camp with 3 compost toilets on 3 levels.
Also a working farm so all dogs on leads regardless A bowser for water but this does state "not for drinking" and take your own, .
You must take all you need as well as just water, bin liners ect. The compost toilets are clean with air freshener, sanitizer, toilet paper and sawdust. The views are fantastic.
The site accepts any unit, but itis very hilly and you do get thrown around a bit. Site owner has 5 rules and do not break rule 5! Other meet ups Tent Box singles.
Camp fires but strictly no fire works. Little food trailer on site. Hours subject to opening.
